Regular Languages in MAJ[>] with three variables

چکیده
We consider first order logic over words and show FO + MOD[<] is contained in MAJ[<] with three variables. It is known that for the classes FO[<], FO + MOD[<], FO + GROUP[<] three variables suffice. In the case of MOD[<] even two variables are sufficient. As a consequence we know that if TC , NC then for every regular language describable in MAJ[<] three variables are sufficient.

TOPOLOGICAL CHARACTERIZATION FOR FUZZY REGULAR LANGUAGES
We present a topological characterization for fuzzy regular languages: we show that there is a bijective correspondence between fuzzy regular languages and the set of all clopen fuzzy subsets with finite image in the induced fuzzy topological space of Stone space (Profinite space), and then we give a representation of closed fuzzy subsets in the induced fuzzy topological space via fuzzy regular...
متن کاملDeterministic Fuzzy Automaton on Subclasses of Fuzzy Regular ω-Languages
In formal language theory, we are mainly interested in the natural language computational aspects of ω-languages. Therefore in this respect it is convenient to consider fuzzy ω-languages. In this paper, we introduce two subclasses of fuzzy regular ω-languages called fuzzy n-local ω-languages and Buchi fuzzy n-local ω-languages, and give some closure properties for those subclasses. We define a ...
متن کاملParameterized Regular Expressions and Their Languages
We study regular expressions that use variables, or parameters, which are interpreted as alphabet letters. We consider two classes of languages denoted by such expressions: under the possibility semantics, a word belongs to the language if it is denoted by some regular expression obtained by replacing variables with letters; under the certainty semantics, the word must be denoted by every such ...
متن کاملAlternating Regular Tree Grammars in the Framework of Lattice-Valued Logic
In this paper, two different ways of introducing alternation for lattice-valued (referred to as {L}valued) regular tree grammars and {L}valued top-down tree automata are compared. One is the way which defines the alternating regular tree grammar, i.e., alternation is governed by the non-terminals of the grammar and the other is the way which combines state with alternation. The first way is ta...
متن کاملValid Identity Problem for Shuffle Regular Expressions
We show that the following problem is decidable: given are expressions E1 and E2 constructed from variables by the regular operations and shuffle. Is the identity E1 = E2 true for all instantiations of its variables by formal languages?
